reCAPTCHA
CAPTCHA is short for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart." We utilize Google's reCAPTCHA v3 API on https://jaw.gg, https://jaw.gg/account/register, and https://jaw.gg/account/login. ReCAPTCHA v3 conveniently performs this test in the background. It helps us prevent spam and abuse by computers so that you, the human, can enjoy a streamlined experience. It also improves the security of your account by reducing the effectiveness of brute-force attacks. By using this service you agree to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Personal Information
Jaw.gg does not store any of your personal information without your knowledge, and we don't collect analytics data ourselves or through any media. Device info such as your IP address and browser info are not kept on our database. During account registration you must provide your email address. Read the account section to understand how we use it.
Content Privacy
Your shortened URLs, uploaded images, and text pastes will be accessible to anyone on the internet who has the link. We can assure you that your content won't be indexed on search engines, meaning that nobody can search for it on a search engine.
Account
Benefit: URL shortening, image-hosting, pastebin, custom URLs, and link deletion are all freely available without an account. However, if you want to view all your links in one place, you can create an account. Links will only be associated with your account if you are signed in. Previous, anonymously made links will not transfer over to a new account. Also, users with a verified email will not be subject to the CAPTCHA while making links. In other words, less cookies and split-second link creation.
Account info: Accounts consist of an email for identification and a password (5 to 72 characters long). Passwords are securely hashed. Your email address is the identifier for your account. To verify your email, you'll be sent an email containing a six-digit code, which you can enter at https://jaw.gg/account/verify. We will only send you an email for initial verification or requested password resets. We never share email addresses with anyone else.
Cookies
For reCAPTCHA to work, it stores a temporary cookie in your browser. Jaw.gg does not store any other cookies. Privacy Policy: reCAPTCHA
Content Deletion
Signed in: User accounts will be able to view, edit, and delete all of their links/content in their library (https://jaw.gg/account/library).
Not signed in: You will get a unique "delete-link" whenever you upload a URL/image/pastebin. Going to this URL will allow you to completely delete ("expunge") the link from the internet. We leave no records of the content on our filesystem or database. However, you can only see this link on the same page instance, and will disappear if you upload another item, close the tab, or reload the page. Since we may not be able to verify your ownership, we cannot guarantee the removal of your content if you lose your delete-link. Therefore, if you are planning to delete it, we recommend copying and saving the delete-link somewhere else, or registering an account.
